Beyond The ShorelineAlthough the majority of Acadia exists on Mount Desert Island, Schoodic Peninsula, and Isle au Haut, the park also manages land and structures on more than a dozen outlying islands. The remainder of the islands remain inaccessible to the public. Some of these island are managed through conservation easements and others are fully owned by the park.
