African Burial Ground National Monument consists of an indoor visitor center and museum and an outdoor memorial. Hours of operation are listed below.

Exception:

The Outdoor Memorial will remain open until 5 p.m. during the summer months, from May 7 through September 2.
Starting September 2, the Outdoor Memorial will close at 4 p.m.

The outdoor memorial is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

It is open during the winter, weather permitting.
