2025 Ecology Internship USGS New Mexico Landscapes

2025 Ecology Internship- USGS New Mexico Landscapes Field Station

Come work in the mountains, forests, and cultural landscapes of beautiful northern New Mexico!

Location: Bandelier National Monument and Santa Fe , NM.
Pay: $500/week, with free housing and an education award.
Position Length: 6 Months, May 2025 - November 2025.

Primary responsibilities include a variety of fieldwork related to dendrochornology, vegegation change, forest resoration, and other landscape change research.
Tasks Include:
  • The collection, processing, and analysis of data.
  • The drafting of reports related to research and monitoring projects.
  • Around half the time is spent in the field, with subsequent time spent on data entry.
  • QA/QC
  • Data analysis and report writing in the office at Bandelier National Monument.
