Support Big Hole National Battlefield: How to Donate

Your generous contributions help preserve the history and heritage of Big Hole National Battlefield. Donations can be made directly to the park or through our partner organizations, the Glacier National Park Conservancy and the Friends of Bear Paw, Big Hole & Canyon Creek Battlefields.

How to Donate Directly to the National Park Service:

Please indicate that your contribution is intended as a donation to the park. Unless otherwise specified, donations will be used for the park’s highest-priority projects, as determined by the superintendent.

Donate Through the Glacier National Park Conservancy:

Purchases made through the visitor center bookstore support the park. Cash and checks can also be left in the donation box located in the visitor center. These contributions help fund:

  • The Coyote Camp education program for school groups
  • The summer speaker series
  • Annual commemorations of the Big Hole and Bear Paw battles
  • The volunteer program

Donate Through the Friends of Bear Paw, Big Hole & Canyon Creek Battlefields:

By becoming a member of this friends group, you will receive benefits such as a newsletter, mug, lapel pin, invitations to special events, and the assurance that your membership fees assist the battlefields with important projects.

Your support ensures that the park can continue to provide educational programs, maintain the sites, and preserve the legacy of the Nez Perce story for future generations.
