Biscayne National Park is an incredible classroom and laboratory for students of all ages.
Biscayne National Park's Education Program covers a wide variety of subject matter and topics. Our goals for all our education endeavors are to:
- provide free and relevant real world learning opportunities
- offer space for students to explore and connect to the natural and cultural histories of South Florida
- improve scientific literacy for all participants
- increase appreciation for public lands
The majority of our current programming caters to a 4th grade audience as many of our activities were designed to align with 4th grade standards. We are however open to working with all grade levels as time and staffing allow. Please check out our program offerings at the following pages below.
We operate on a first come, first serve basis with priority being given to our local community. At this time we currently are offering a variety of programs to school groups:
- Day Trips to Biscayne: Explorer Program
- School Visits: Ranger in Your Classroom Programs
- Distance Learning: Discovery Program
- Overnight Trips at Biscayne: Expedition Program
Please note that our online reservation system fills up quickly. We apologize if there are no current dates available for your group. To be added to our program mailing list to be notified for future openings send us an e-mail at bisc_education@nps.gov
