Group Tours

If you are planning to visit with a larger group, specialty tours can be reserved. Availability is limited to when the mill is not open to the public. See information below about how to book a specialty group tour.

Lifelong Learners/Colleges and Universities

Extended tours of Old Slater Mill are available for groups of lifelong learners and college-level classes (up to 25 visitors per tour). Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions and spend up to 90 minutes with a Park Ranger. These tours are offered on a first come, first served basis depending on availability. There is no fee, but reservations are required.

Tour Companies/Fee-Based Groups - Commercial Use Authority

The National Park Service Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998, Section 418 (1998 Act) provides the authority for NPS to issue CUAs.
CUAs are required if an operator intends to make a profit from commercial goods or services to park visitors that:

1. Take place at least in part on lands managed by the NPS.

2. Use Park resources.
