American Battlefield Trust Park DayJoin us on June 14, 2025 for a group volunteer event to help preserve the Cedar Creek Battlefield. Volunteers will assist with the removal of invasive plants along the Morning Attack Trails and near the 8th Vermont Monument. There may be additional trail maintenance projects to help improve the visitor experience.Pre-registration is not required but encouraged. Volunteering with the National Park Service requires signing a Volunteer Service Agreement. This will be sent via email to all who register so that it can be completed in advance. Additional copies will be available the day of the event as well. Register by applying to the volunteer opportunity via volunteer.gov or by emailing us. Small hand tools and work gloves will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own. Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Terrain may be uneven so wear sturdy and comfortable shoes. Sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle are recommended. Several other local, state, and nationally managed battlefields are hosting their own Park Day volunteer events.
