VisitationChiricahua National Monument sees the vast majority if it's visitors in March and April. In March, you may share the park (and parking lots) with 300-500 people each day. If you are visiting with a hiking group or can visit at another time, avoid coming in March or early-April. Today 86% of the park acres are protected as wilderness. Economic BenefitsIn 2017, visitors to Chiricahua National Monument spent $3.7 million in the local gateway communities. These expenditures supported a total of 52 jobs, $1.2 million in labor income, $2.0 million in value added, and $3.8 million in economic output in local gateway economies surrounding Chiricahua National Monument.
