Reservations

Reservations are required year-round for all campsites at City of Rocks National Reserve, Smoky Mountain Campground, and Castle Rocks Ranch. Campsites can be reserved same-day if availability permits.

Campsite and facility reservations can be made up to 9 months in advance.

Rates & Fees

City of Rocks National Reserve

Camping fees have gone to dynamic pricing and will varey depending on dates selected and availability. To check pricing for your stay check the reservation page.

Smoky Mountain Campground

All vehicles are required to pay a $7 per day Motor Vehicle Entry Fee or display an Idaho State Parks Passport or Annual Pass on the windshield of the vehicle.
Campsites: Prices will varey

Castle Rocks Ranch

All vehicles are required to pay a $7 per day Motor Vehicle Entry Fee or display an Idaho State Parks Passport or Annual Pass on the windshield of the vehicle.

The Lodge:

Picnic Shelter:

Permits

Backcountry Camping (Indian Grove)

Group & Special Use Permits

Special permits are required for activities such as:

• Groups of 25 or more people assembled.
• Commercial filming or photography.
• Operating as a guide/outfitter.
• Conducting research.
