Parks as Classrooms

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area contains a multitude of natural, geological, and historical questions that spark curiosity and inspire a desire to learn. Educators, parents, and students are encouraged to explore the park and learn about the questions that inspire them.

Curriculum Materials

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area strives to provide high quality curriculum-based educational material for teachers, parents, and students of all ages. Discover what programs are currently offered.

Field Trips

At Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, we aim to utilize our natural resources to provide deeper learning experiences focused on real world examples. We continue to develop new field trip material and are willing to work with local educators to co-design lessons together.

Education Programs

Working with students to encourage connections to the outdoors through academic programming is a goal of the National Park Service. Rangers develop programs to enhance or create personal ties to our country's public lands.
