Commercial Use AuthorizationA Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) is a business permit with the National Park Service that authorizes an individual, group, company, or other for-profit entity to conduct commercial activities and provide specific visitor services within a national park area, such as guided day hiking or vehicle shuttle operations.Special Use/EventsSpecial uses are activities, such as sporting events, spectator attractions, entertainment, ceremonies, weddings, large group camps or rendezvous, which fall under the category of privileges. Special events differ from public assemblies and public meetings in that the latter activities are rights protected by the First Amendment. |
