Permits & Reservations

Permits
Certain activities within the monument require a permit. Here you can find out the requirements to obtain a boating permit, backcountry camping permit, special use/event permit (such as for a wedding), or a permit for filming or photography. If you have any questions about whether a permit is needed, please contact us.

Reservations
You can obtain reservations for campsites at the Green River Campground, Split Mountain Group Campground and the group site at the Echo Park Campground. Reservations are also taken for the Ely Creek backcountry campsite on the Jones Hole Trail. All other campgrounds and backcountry areas are first-come, first-served.
