Permits And Reservations

Free to the Public - Reservations are Required

The Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site has no entrance fees and is free to the public, but advance reservations are always required. The site is accessible only via the complimentary National Park Service Shuttle, which departs from The Museum of the San Ramon Valley at 205 Railroad Avenue, Danville, California 94526. Visitors are not permitted to drive their vehicles to the main park site due to its location within a private, gated community.

Tour Schedule:

• Available Wednesday through Sunday at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
• Tours depart promptly at 10 AM and 2 PM
• Please allow approximately 2 hours for your visit

Reservation Details:

• We recommend contacting us at least two weeks in advance to secure your tour.
• Shorter notice reservations may be available, but not guaranteed.

Important Note: Not all desired tour dates may be available; visitors will need to receive confirmation of their requested dates from the park staff. If you do not hear from us within a few days (we are closed Monday and Tuesday), then please check your Spam folder to make sure your reservation was not filtered.

Holidays: Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

Note on Accessibility: Please include in your reservation request if you or any of your group have accessibility needs before visiting the site. This will help park rangers be prepared for your visit.

As of January 4, 2025, a new law called the EXPLORE Act changed how the National Park Service manages filming, photography, and audio recording in national parks.
