Many first ladies have loved books and believed in the importance of reading to children. We here at the First Ladies National Historic Site couldn’t agree more! The stories available for our Read with a Ranger program help introduce some first ladies’ legacies and the story of the National Park Service. Read with a Ranger programs are suitable for grades kindergarten through 5th grade and contain threads of courage, collaboration, resilience, and empathy.

Our Read with a Ranger program consists of a book reading and an activity. All props, books, and craft supplies will be provided by the park ranger.

Read with a Ranger programs are in-person only. For additional information or to schedule a program, please email us or call (440)717-3748
