The mission of the Rome Historical Society is, “To actively research, collect, preserve, and present the historical importance of Rome, N.Y. and to serve as an educational and community resource.” National Park Friends Groups are established to help support a wide variety of park activities through fundraising, membership programs, and increasing awareness. Friends of Fort Stanwix works with the National Park Service to provide dynamic experiences that connect park visitors to recreational and educational opportunities in and around Fort Stanwix.
