Pets are welcome at Friendship Hill National Historic Site. Enjoy a beautiful hike on our 10 miles of trails.
Pet owners are required to clean up after their dogs! Bag your waste and dispose of it properly. All pets must remain on a leash (no longer than 6 feet) and all pets must be under control at all times. Respect the natural and cultural resources and prevent them from harming park plants and wildlife. Know where you can go, each National Park Service site has their own rules about where pets can or cannot go. Research before visiting a site with your pet.
Pets are not allowed inside the visitor center. (Service animals provide service for persons with disabilities. They are not considered to be pets and are not regulated as pets. Accordingly, they have been allowed to go into areas where pets are traditionally prohibited.)
If you visit during the summer months, please do not leave your pet in your parked vehicle. Even with the windows rolled down slightly, temperatures inside a locked car can climb to unsafe levels!
