Brandywine Valley

This site consists of more than 1,300 acres located on the border of Delaware and Pennsylvania. None of the trails or parking lots are accessible, but people can enjoy a nice drive through the park. If you are looking to stamp your passport the Brandywine Creek Nature Center is accessible. Please e-mail or call us if you have any specific questions or concerns.

Fort Christina

Fort Christina National Historical Landmark park is accessible but contains uneven flagstone that may cause problems with wheelchairs.

Old Swedes Church

The accessibility entrance to the site is along Church Street. To access this entrance, you will park in the stone parking lot. The entrance is located where the gate and the stone building connect. The entire area has limited wheelchair accessibility due to uneven ground and historic structures.

Only the first floor of the Court House is accessible through a side entrance.

The Green, Dover

The Green has a handicap sidewalk access along S. State Street. The entire sidewalk surrounding the outside of The Green is accessible but it The Green itself is not.

John Dickinson Plantation

The John Dickinson Plantation visitor center and the first floor of the Poplar Hall are accessible. The surrounding outbuildings are accessible.
