The memorial building closes 15 minutes before the Visitor Center at 4:45 p.m. ![]() NPS Photo School and Group ReservationsSchools and groups are welcome at George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. This park is free for all visitors. School and Group visit activitiesPark Film - Long KnivesA thirty (30) minute film in the Visitor Center, Long Knives tells the story of George Rogers Clark's journey to Kaskaskia, Cahokia and Vincennes and the capture of Fort Sackville in Vincennes. Clark MemorialGroups can listen to a recorded six (6) minute narrative on headphones within the Memorial or walk through and read signs. A Park Ranger will provide a brief introduction on the memorial steps. The entire memorial experience lasts for about fifteen (15) minutes. Historic Weapons Demonstration (Schools only)A program and historic weapon demonstration presented by a ranger or park volunteer in 18th century period dress. This program typically runs 15 to 20 minutes and can be quite loud for very young children and those with sound-based sensory issues or anxiety. We encourage all visitors to individually consider if this program is appropriate for themselves and their children. |
