Painting

A group of five people repaint a white picket fence. They stand inside the fence in the yard. On the outside of the fence are many mature trees. It's a sunny day.
Volunteers help to repaint one of the many fences throughout the park.

Painting

Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site are home to a plethora of historic structures, fences, and markers. Routine maintenance includes painting many of these objects throughout the parks. From fences, to signs, to shutters and more, volunteers help keep our parks looking sharp with fresh coats of paint. Volunteers who engage in these activities will need to be able to bend, stand for long periods of time, and carry full cans of paint to work areas.
