Management

The land and buildings within the Green Springs National Historic Landmark District are privately owned. Many of the property owners have conveyed conservation easements to protect the historic scene. The Department of the Interior holds a number of the easements, and the National Park Service is responsible for monitoring and enforcing those. Other agencies and organizations also hold conservation easements there.

The National Park Service does not itself own or operate public facilities in the National Historic Landmark District, which is viewable from U.S. Rt. 15, Virginia Rt. 22, and other public thoroughfares that border it.
