Ever wondered how the earth, sea and sky are connected?

Earth, Sea, Sky is a series of learning opportunities offered through the park and its partners, NOAA’s Mokupāpapa Discovery Center for Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument and ʻImiloa Astronomy Center. Through participation in field trips with each organization, students will learn how interconnected and interdependent life is on the island of Hawaiʻi, as well as how we can mālama ʻāina, care for the world around us. Students will be exposed to a diverse range of scientific research and careers.

• This program is intended for grades 3-8

• Transportation funding may be available to Title I schools. Non Title I schools are welcome to apply to the program without funding.

• 'Imiloa Astronomy Center may approve a fee waiver for Title I schools. Admission to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and Mokupāpapa Discovery Center is free.

• Schools receiving transportation funding are required to visit 'Imiloa and Mokupāpapa on the same day.

• There is a maximum of 100 students per visit. For the morning at ʻImiloa and Mokupāpapa, 100 students would need to break into two groups of 50, then switch places mid-morning. All 100 students can visit Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park at the same time.
