Children (6 to 12 years old) with families are encouraged to participate in the Junior Ranger Program. The Program objectives are: Help children learn about Horseshoe Bend NMP and about the Park Service in general. Develop in the child an appreciation of our natural and cultural resources. Kindle in the child a desire to learn more about our heritage. Program booklets are available free at the Visitor Center. Children completing the required acitvities will be awarded a Certificate and Junior Ranger Badge. The program must be completed while in the Park and is not available for groups. Horseshoe Bend NMP offers a series of special children's camps during the summer months. Check the schedule of events page for dates and details. |
