Permits

A permit may be needed to conduct certain desired activities at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. It is always best to first contact the park before submitting any permit applications. For some activities, a permit charge is required for processing the activity request.

Activities that require a permit to be issued in advance include (but are not exclusive):

• First Amendment activities

• Special events (which include such activities as entertainment, ceremonies, weddings, rendezvous, organized recreational events, etc.)

• Commercial Filming and Photography
  • Additional information here

• Scientific research and related collecting

Reservations

Reservations are not required of individuals or small groups taking self-guided tours of the park. As a courtesy, groups of 20 or more are requested to notify the park of the expected date and time of their arrival. Please call Hopewell Furnace at (610) 585-8773.
