You can support Honouliuli National Historic Site in many ways with your donation.

Financial Donations and Membership

Be a part of our purpose to conserve and interpret the largest and longest-used WWII incarceration site in Hawai’i. The park accepts financial donations that directly support specific projects, programs, or general operations. Your contribution supports a lasting legacy to ensure that the stories are shared and what happened at Honouliuli Internment Camp never happens again.

Your contributions support important historic preservation, ongoing research, visitor interpretation, natural and cultural resources management, and educational programs at the park. Unless donors specify how their contributions should be used, funds are applied at the park’s discretion toward preservation, interpretive, educational, management or research projects. Larger donations may be directed toward specific initiatives, as mutually determined by the donor and the park’s superintendent. Visit Pacific Historic Parks for more information. You can also make donations at the Honouliuli National Historic Site bookstore (see below).

Another way you can help to support the park is by becoming a member. Members of the park receive benefits to enhance your park experience. To learn more, visit Pacific Historic Parks.

Donation of Items

Honouliuli National Historic Site is in the process of setting up its ability to accept donations of legally obtained historic artifacts for the museum collection, supporting the site's significance. If you are interested in donating artifacts, please contact the park.

Other Ways to Support the Park

The Honouliuli National Historic Site bookstore is located in the Pearl Harbor National Memorial bookstore. The bookstore (link to online store to be added soon), which carries items beyond just books, provides visitors with a range of interpretive and educational materials about Honouliuli. The income generated from these items supports important historic preservation, ongoing research, visitor interpretation, natural and cultural resources management, and educational programs at the park.

If you physically visit the bookstore, in addition to your purchased items, donations to the park can also be made there.

To find other ways to help support the park, explore the drop down menu for Get Involved at the top of this page (see left navigation on the banner).
