Getting Around

Park Roads

Visitors may access different areas of the park via roads and scenic drives.
Hot Springs Mountain Drive and West Mountain Drive allow access to lookouts and trailheads in the park.
Blacksnake Road, Cedarglades Road, and Park Avenue offer thoroughfares through the park.
Gorge Road provides access to the Gulpha Gorge Campground and Picnic Area.

The park maintains free, designated parking areas along the scenic drives within the park boundaries. These parking areas are found at picnic areas, viewpoints, and trailheads.

Please follow local traffic laws and speed limit signage within the Park. Many of the roads are winding up and down our mountains. Vehicle length limit is 30 feet.

City Parking

Visitors to Bathhouse Row and the Fordyce Bathhouse Visitor Center, located at 369 Central Ave., may use city parking areas for convinient access.

Street Parking and Parking Garage

Beginning in 2025, the city of Hot Springs has implimented a new paid parking system on major thoroughfares, adjacent side streets, and parking garages.

The city of Hot Springs maintains a large parking garage at 128 Exchange Street (one block west of the Hot Springs National Park visitor center).

Parking along most major thoroughfares in the downtown area is metered while free parking is available along several side streets.

Up-to-date information about downtown parking can be found at the city of Hot Springs parking website.

RV/Bus Parking

Limited RV and bus parking is available one block south of the Hot Springs National Park visitor center in the Hill Wheatley Plaza at 629 Central Ave.
Additionally, there is limited RV/bus parking at Whittington Park, heading East.

Biking

Guided Tours

The Hot Springs Trolley is one of the official concessioners of Hot Springs National Park. Join them for a guided tour of the park and the city. Visit their website for rates, hours of operation, and reservations.

Public Transportation

The city of Hot Springs has a bus system, Intracity Transit, that has routes through the major streets in town. Visit their website for fares, routes, and hours of operation.
