Group Camping Reservation Instructions

Making a Group Camping Reservation Request

Requests for group camping reservations for the 2025 season will open October 1, 2024. Any requests received prior to this date will not be processed.

1. Access the Isle Royale NP Group Camping Fee form on www.paygov.

2. Click on "Continue to Form" (button in lower right corner).

3. Fill out the information in the online form:

   • Purchaser information

   • Permit fee ($25 per permit)

   • Requested itinerary for each permit needed

4. Submit payment.

5. After October 1, the park will contact you to confirm your requested itinerary or discuss any necessary changes.

6. If your requested itinerary needs to be modified due to full sites, staff will work with you directly to find an itinerary that works for your group.

7. Once an itinerary is approved, you will receive a permit confirmation email.

   • This is a good time to pay your entrance fees in advance.

When Do You Receive Your Permit?

Upon completion of the reservation request process, you will receive an emailed itinerary confirmation. This is not your permit. You will receive your official permit upon arrival to Isle Royale at either Rock Harbor or Windigo except Ranger III passengers who receive their permit onboard.
