![]() NPS The annual Easter Monday Egg Roll event will be held at James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. on April 21. This family-friendly day and favorite of the general public takes place on the same day as the Easter Egg Roll at the White House in Washington, D.C.! Join park rangers, volunteers, and Mrs. Lucretia Garfield (portrayed by Debbie Weinkamer) for games, activities, an Easter egg hunt (ages 4 and under), and the Easter egg roll (ages 5-12), which also commemorates a White House tradition in which President Garfield participated in 1881! Games and activities will be from 1-2:30 p.m. An Easter egg hunt for children ages four and under will begin at 2:30 p.m.; the egg roll races for age groups 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12 will begin immediately thereafter. The Garfield home, Visitor Center and grounds will only be open during the hours of this event. Overflow parking will be directed to Eleanor B. Garfield Park. PLEASE NOTE: This is an OUTDOOR event that may be canceled if inclement weather occurs. All activities are free of charge. |
