![]() NPS Photo / Bradley Block Do you want to get involved? There are a number of ways that interested visitors can get involved with parks. The majority of guests enjoy a wide range of recreational opportunities and interpretive activities. Youth enjoy the Junior Ranger Program, and local clubs often take part in special events. In some instances, park enthusiasts volunteer their time to help with programs, resource management, and maintenance projects. But, what else is available? Planning, Environment and Public CommentThe National Park Service prepares a variety of planning and environmental documents to help guide the agency with managing its various locations. These documents can range from site-specific impact analyses on facility locations to broader park-wide plans for future use and management of other park resources. The National Park Service Planning, Environment and Public Comment (PEPC) site provides access to current plans, environmental impact analyses, and related documents available for public review. Interested visitors can read, download, and submit comments for available documents. Public Comments and FeedbackThe monument is constantly trying to improve its services for park visitors, yet also complement the preservation and protection of park resources. Because of this, we welcome comments and feedback from our guests. How was your ranger-guided cave tour? Were the facilities clean and appropriate during your visit? What were the trails like? Did a particular staff member make your trip even more enjoyable? Please feel free to share your thoughts with the monument at any time by contacting us online, by phone at (605) 673-8300, or by mail: |
