Audio Described Brochure

Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve has an audio described version of the official park unigrid available on the UniD app.

  • Download the UniDescription app which includes all park brochures that have been audio described under the UniDescription partnership project with the University of Hawaii. The app is free and available on the iOS platform and Android platform.

Acadian Cultural Center

    • Park rangers strive to include a variety of senses in their programs. Upon request, there are tactile objects for touch such as animal furs, model boats, and instruments.

  • Visitor Center

    • Ipods with audio descriptions of the museum exhibits are available in English, French, and Spanish by request.
    • In the museum's music and language exhibit room, there are two audio buttons to hear the language and music of the region.
