Stop by to receive a park orientation at Hale Hoʻokipa, the Park's Visitor Center and location of the Hawaii Pacific Parks Association Bookstore. Walk along the gentle shores of Honokohau Beach and see the Hawaiian green sea turtle (Honu) basking in the sun. Marvel at the amazing engineering skills required to construct ʻAiʻōpio fishtrap and Pu'uoina Heiau on the south side of the park. See the largest fishpond wall in Hawaiʻi (recently completed). The rock wall is over 800ft in length and 40ft wide. View Petroglyphs left by the original Hawaiian inhabitants of this dry land. These are some of the many unique places waiting to be explored on your next visit to Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park! |
