Camping

There are frontcountry (drive-to) camping and backcountry camping opportunities at Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. Campers are required to pack in and pack out their supplies and trash. Learn how to make a reservation here.

Lodging

There is no lodging available within Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. However, there are campsites and lean-tos to stay at. During the winter, Haskell Hut and Big Spring Brook Hut are available for visitors to use by reservation only.

There are other lodging options located outside the monument in the surrounding communities. A list of lodging options in the local area is available on the Katahdin Chamber of Commerce website.

Eating

There are no restaurants within monument boundaries. However, there are picnic sites, so bring a snack or a meal to enjoy! A list of dining options in the surrounding areas is available from the Katahdin Chamber of Commerce website.
