NPS Photo The popular season for volunteers is June through October, but the frigid winters also provide volunteer opportunities for those who enjoy lots of snow! Individuals may volunteer a few hours a month or up to several days per week. Keweenaw Heritage Sites Volunteer OpportunitiesThere are a wide variety of Keweenaw Heritage Sites which partner with Keweenaw National Historical Park, all of which contain significant cultural and/or natural resources and share their own unique chapter of the Keweenaw's copper mining heritage. Many of these sites rely on volunteers to make their operation and upkeep of the site possible.
