Today, the role of the National Park Service at the Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site is to tell the story of Mary McLeod Bethune, the National Council of Negro Women, and the role of Afrcian American women during the Civil Rights Movement in America, while preserving the home for this and future generations.

We cannot achieve our mission single-handedly. It is only through partnerships with like-minded organizations that we can preserve the past and build a vision for the future.
