Service animals are welcome in all public areas of the site. Service animals are defined as any dogs or miniature horses trained to perform tasks that assist persons with disabilities.
Emotional support animals or companion animals are also welcome in all public areas. These are animals that provide therapeutic services through companionship. A gas station and restrooms are available at the Barry Travel Plaza. The plaza is 4 miles west of the site: 1 Cieten Plaza, Barry, Illinois 62312.
There are several restaurants nearby in downtown Barry, on Bainbridge and Mortimer Streets. There is no picnic area or trash can on the site. You are welcome to bring food, but you must carry out all of your trash.
Grilling is not permitted onsite. Lafayette Park in the town of Barry (4 miles west) has picnic tables, a playground, grills, and public restrooms. |
