Olympic National Park Visitor Center serves as a great resource for visitors!

Henry Meyer

  • Open daily year-round; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
    Open 9 AM - 5 PM in summer; Open 9 AM - 4 PM in fall and winter. Hours vary according to season. Call (360) 565-3131 for current hours.

  • Visitor information, exhibits about Olympic's natural and cultural history, hands-on "Discovery Room" for kids, Passport stamping station, park orientation film "Mosaic of Diversity" (25 minutes) shown upon request, bookstore, two short nature trails.

Wilderness Information Center

  • Information and trip planning advice for all wilderness users, including current trail reports, safety, weather and Leave No Trace tips.
  • Wilderness Camping (Backpacking) Permits and bear canisters available. E-mail the Wilderness Information Center or call (360)565-3100.

Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center

About 17 miles south of Port Angeles, up the Hurricane Ridge Road

  • The Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center burned down on May 7, 2023. A Visitor Contact Station with information window is staffed daily in summer. Restrooms, water, information and maps are available. Guided walks and talks are offered during the summer.

Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center

  • The Hoh Rain Forest area, including the visitor center, is closed until the Upper Hoh Road is safe for travel. The Upper Hoh Road is maintained by Jefferson County. The County closed the road in December 2024 due a washout at milepost 9.7. Jefferson County information is available online at: https://www.co.jefferson.wa.us/

  • Visitor information, exhibits, Passport stamping station, bookstore. Two self-guided nature trails and the Hoh River Trail start near the visitor center. Guided walks and talks are offered during the summer. Wilderness Camping Permits should be picked up at a Wilderness Information Center.
  • No food service is available in the Hoh Rain Forest and the closest gas station is 31 miles away.

  • Open in summer from Memorial Day weekend-September 30th.
  • Visitor information about the coast, Forks, and other areas on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula; Passport stamping station, book store. Guided walks and talks are offered during the summer. Passport stamp available at the Kalaloch Lodge when closed.
