Oxon Cove Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Mark your calendars for an exciting day of celebration!

The National Park Service invites you to the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Oxon Cove Trail on April 26 at 11:30 a.m.

This momentous occasion will feature remarks from local government leaders and representatives from the National Park Service. Forest Heights Elementary School choir will also be present to serenade us as we celebrate the completion of this significant achievement in our community.

The entrance to the ribbon cutting ceremony is located at:

Bell Acres Park
197 S Huron Dr
Oxon Hill, MD 20745

• The exact coordinates of the entrance are 38°48'49.1"N 77°00'20.4"W

• Once you enter the park, turn left on the Oxon Cove Trail and follow the signs.

• Street parking is available near Bell Acres Park.The event will be held rain or shine.

Volunteer Opportunity

Looking to make a difference? Join us earlier in the day or after the ceremony for an Earth Day clean-up at the cove, hosted by the Potomac Riverkeeper!

The clean-up event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will be split into two shifts to allow volunteers the chance to volunteer either before or after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
