Pets can make great travel companions, but it's important to understand the park's rules so you and your furry friends have a safe trip. In addition to those listed below, check out these rules and regulations for visiting the park with pets.

  • Pets are not allowed in the visitor center or memorial at any time.
  • Pets are allowed on walk the park grounds and plaza, but must remain on a maximum six-foot leash at all times.
  • Pets don't enjoy being unattended. One person must remain with your pet and a shady area is recommended. Never tie or leash dogs to trees, signs, or railings in the park.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are always welcome in park facilities. Be sure to visit the accessibility page for more information and learn about other services that may be available to you.

Pet Waste

Picking up pet waste from park grounds is the responsibility of the pet owner. Carry disposable bags to properly transport waste to a trash can.

Water

A water fountain with attached pet station is located on the sidewalk between the parking lot and visitor center.
