Picnic Table
This picnic table at the Ledges Trailhead is an art installation by the 24th U.S. Poet Laureate, Ada Limón. Limón selected Jean Valentine's poem "The valley" for this poetry installation as part of her signature project "You Are Here: Poetry in Parks." The project includes additional installations at six other national parks.
The valley
The valley
edge by edge
bare field by field
I walked through it through you
rain by rain
cold by cold
root absence
and the purposeful cold
Eye opened
slow
but what is slow
