This 5,654-acre property protects a number of diverse plant communities, from cypress sloughs and bottomland hardwoods along Village Creek to upland longleaf pine forests dotted with prickly pear cactus.

Hikers can explore over 6 miles of trails. Prescribed burns help to keep the forest open, making it an excellent place to see birds and wildflowers. An overlook on a bluff just a short walk in provides a view looking down at Village Creek.

Hours: Dawn to dusk daily (the sanctuary may close for fires or construction)
