Eastern National

Eastern National is one of Prince William Forest Park's cooperating associations. Eastern National operates the store in the park visitor center to broaden the public's understanding of the park and its stories. Eastern National donates a portion of store proceeds to visitor services and interpretation projects. For example, Eastern National paid the publishing costs of the first book written about Prince William Forest Park.

Potomac Appalachian Trail Club

The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC) is a volunteer-based organization, headquartered in Vienna, Virginia. The PATC was founded in 1927 by the visionaries who planned and built the Appalachian Trail. The club now manages more than 1,200 miles of hiking trails in the Mid-Atlantic region, along with cabins, shelters, and hundreds of acres of conserved land. More than 20 volunteers work with PATC in Prince William Forest Park. They help maintain 37 miles of trails. PATC volunteers help with the construction of trail bridges and new trails and work to keep the park's existing trails clear of tree blowdowns and other debris.

NatureBridge

NatureBridge is a proud education partner of Prince William Forest Park, providing transformative, multi-day outdoor educational programs for young people in the mid-Atlantic region. In collaboration with the National Park Service, NatureBridge connects students to the natural and cultural history of the park through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. Since 2012, NatureBridge has welcomed over 14,000 students to Prince William Forest Park, through our environmental science program and our summer camp, Forest Camp.

Since its founding in 1971 in Yosemite National Park, NatureBridge has worked closely with the NPS to inspire environmental stewardship and foster a deeper connection between young people and public lands. At Prince William Forest Park, our programs immerse students in the park’s diverse ecosystems, from its protected forests to its historic cabin camps, reinforcing science education while promoting teamwork, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for nature.

Through our partnership, we strive to connect young people with the national parks, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow in one of the nation’s most significant natural spaces.

NatureBridge is a registered non-profit organization and a national leader in environmental education, inspiring young people through hands-on science and exploration in national parks. Founded in 1971, we provide immersive programs that connect students to the natural world, fostering curiosity, leadership, and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Each year, we welcome thousands of students to our campuses, including Yosemite National Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Olympic National Park, and Prince William Forest Park, where we collaborate with the National Park Service to make public lands accessible and meaningful for all. Through engaging outdoor experiences, we empower the next generation to care for our planet and their communities.
