Sculptural Visions

Sculptural Visions celebrates sculpture in all its forms. Learn from visiting artists demonstrating different techniques including clay modeling, wood and stone carving, metal and wire working, and mixed media. Participate in hands-on activities with the whole family or just take advantage of free admission to the park. Normal entry fees waived in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Sculptors from across the region share their work, process, and creativity.

Artmaking for All
Find art activities throughout the park including cartooning and crafting at the Caretaker’s Garage (3), a “Polychromy” coloring activity outside the Little Studio (14), and art activities for ages 8-12 with Roger Goldenberg on the Sculptors’ Common.

Fire Organ Band
An ethereal song born of flame returns to Sculptural Visions. Join the Fire Organ Band for intermittent performances throughout the day with Antoinette Jacobson and Elise Fischer on the fire organ and Ria Blaas and Vajl Adamkowski on the saxophone.

About National Public Lands Day

All normal entry fees are waived during this event in honor of National Public Lands Day. This annual celebration organized and led by the National Environmental Education Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service and other federal agencies. This special day provides all lovers of the environment—old and new—an opportunity to show our appreciation for these unique places. The theme for this year—30 Years of Care and Community—celebrates the 30th year of National Public Lands Day.
