Camps

Saguaro National Park offers opportunites for local youth to get outside and learn about the park in their backyard through educational and recreational camps. Experience the desert by learning about the animals native to our desert home, the importance of water, how to hike safely in the desert, interactive games and activities and much, much more. Each camp experience is structured to be age appropriate and to encourage young people to explore the desert, learn about nature, and have fun in the great outdoors. The ultimate goal is to provide youth with a sense of stewardship for the environment and the mental and physical benefits of outdoor recreation.

Who can participate at camp?

Camp is open to residents of Tucson and surrounding Pima County.

How much do they cost?

Camps are free to participants, with support from the Friends of Saguaro National Park

Where does camp happen?

Saguaro's camps take place in both districts of the park and always outside, immersed in the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert.
