![]() NPS Invasive Species Science Scholarship for Local Tucson StudentsApplication Deadline has been extended to April 14, 2025![]() NPS Thanks to a generous donation from the Paul and Deane Shatz Invasive Species Research Fund, Saguaro National Park is seeking applications for students for two $2,000 scholarships to study invasive species. If you are a current college or high school student in Pima County and interested in conservation science, please consider applying! Strong applications should propose a creative research project that will help the park address the issue. Examples include research on testing methods for effectively removing invasive plants, testing new technologies to combat invasives, or social science research related to volunteerism. If interested, please check out these links: Deadline for proposals is Monday, April 14, 2025. Please send completed applications and address questions to SAGU_invasive@nps.gov. If selected, recipients will receive $500 up front, then an additional $1,500 upon completion and publication of the project, which is due August 1, 2025. |
