Special Use Permits The purpose of these permits is to ensure the protection of the park's natural and cultural resources, as well as to minimize conflicts between park visitors and your guests. All special use permit applications, whether approved or denied, require a $100 application cost recovery fee. Activities and events that require a Special Use Permit include:
After-hours Photography: If you are interested in taking photographs outside of our normal operating hours, complies the NPS 10-931 application.
If you plan to film commercially at Salinas, please contact our Special Use Coordinator at 505-847-2585 x221 prior to your filming date in order to obtain more information about filming in the park and to discuss how to minimize potential impacts to visitors and sensitive park resources.
