Community Volunteer Ambassador (CVA) - Stewards Individual Placements, a program of Conservation Legacy, provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. The Community Volunteer Ambassador Program combines the strength of a national leader in conservation service with the National Park Service to train a diverse group of emerging leaders to assist park units in building lasting connections to communities.

Traditional Trades Advancement Program (TTAP) - a partnership between the National Park Service and the Student Conservation Association.

Over the past several months, two apprentices have been immersed in a hands-on environment within the locomotive shop working on a variety of projects, honing their skills, and learning tricks of the trade. This apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for these apprentices to learn, grow, and develop their talents in a field that keeps the wheels of innovation turning. Learn more about TTAP.
