Operating Hours & Seasons

The park is currently operating under its Off-Peak Season Visitor Hours: open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., which includes outdoor exhibit areas and parking lot.

January 1 - May 2 2025: The park will be open 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday). The park will return to daily operations starting on May 3rd. Additionally, during this time the park will be open on the Monday holidays; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 20, 2025 and Washington's Birthday on February 17, 2025.

During severe weather events, the hours of operation may be impacted. For updated information, please check the alerts section at the top of this website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The connecting walkway to the Marketplace at Steamtown is not the property of the National Park Service or Steamtown National Historic Site, and is subject to closure during inclement or severe weather. Additionally, this walkway is not maintained and is closed during the winter months.
