They have partnered with Stones River National Battlefield to learn more about the Cemetery Community, a Freedmen's community that emerged on the battlefield landscape following the Civil War, and to share that knowledge with the public through special programs. ![]() Tennessee Civil War Heritage Area ![]() Eastern National Eastern National is a 501(c)3 non-profit cooperating association, supporting the interpretive, educational, and scientific programs and services at national parks and public lands accross the United States. ![]() City of Murfreesboro Parks & Recreation Department Included among the parks is the Murfreesboro Greenway System which consists of over 17 miles of trails, bridges, and boardwalks for enjoying Murfreesboro's beautiful natural setting, connecting the units of Stones River National Battlefield. Stones River National Battlefield partners with Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation on stewarship projects and volunteer events. |
