In Rome, NY, home of Fort Stanwix National Monument, you can find lots of history. Most of it sits within walking distance of the park, along an ancient trail called the Oneida Carry. All of the locations are accessible. It is possible to walk or drive to each of them. It is a 1.5 mile walk through the City of Rome, NY to visit all the trails. There are sidewalks, crosswalks, and large intersections. There is a slight incline on the walk throughout.
