Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site is part of a network of nine national park sites in Manhattan, New York City, called the Manhattan Sites.

The Manhattan Sites staff are charged with the preservation and interpretation of the National Park Service monuments, memorials and historic sites in the borough of Manhattan. The parks are operated by a diverse team of staff members with varying skill sets that allow us to carry out the work.

Interpretation rangers work directly with the public, telling stories, forging connections and providing educational programs to visitors.
Facilities managment staff work on keeping our sites visitor-ready by maintaining public areas and engaging in long-term revitaliziation projects.
Administration staff keep the parks running by providing assistance in payroll, budgeting, personnel management, and more.

At Manhattan Sites, we hire staff members for varying term lengths. Seasonal rangers and staff carry out our programming during the busiest months of the year. Look for these job announcements in November each year on USAJobs. Permanent staff work at the sites year-round, and these positions are hired throughout the year.

Don't see the position you are looking for? Check back soon--we hire throughout the year!
