First Lady Jill Biden planted a silver linden tree on the North Grounds on April 30, 2021, in celebration of Arbor Day. Also participating in the ceremony were Dale Haney, Superintendent of the White House Grounds; John Stanwich, the National Park Service Liaison to the White House; and Kym Hall, National Capital Regional Director.
